Mary Yates moved to the Emerald Coast of Florida with her husband, Joe, in 2007 after retiring from PepsiCo, Inc. in Dallas. Joe, an attorney, was Director of Vendor Contracting, and Mary was Executive Assistant to the President of PepsiCo Shared Services. They began taking art classes together, dabbled in quite a number of painting genres, and developed a passion for glass collage. Mary also taught jewelry-making for several years. They moved again to Andalusia, Alabama, in 2016, where Mary continues to pursue glass and paper collage, finger painting, Aboriginal dot art, pallet knife painting, and other mixed media. They divide their time between Alabama, Florida, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and other areas where their children and grandchildren reside.
